Insight · Micro-events

Out on the main floor, a stand scans three hundred badges and remembers none of them. Behind a door at the back, twelve invited engineers spend an hour with a product team, and four of them ask for a proposal before they leave.

The short version. Volume feels like success on the day. Depth is what shows up in the pipeline a month later.

Why small works

A crowded hall rewards the loudest stand, not the most useful conversation. An invite-only workshop inside the show changes the economics: fewer people, the right people, and enough time for them to understand what you do.

Invite with precision

The guest list is the product. Invitations go to people chosen in advance, registration is confirmed with a code, and arrival is a quick check-in rather than a queue. Our reception and registration desk and CONCIERGE handle this, and you can try the live CONCIERGE demo.

Capture the conversation, not just the badge

In a small room, the notes matter more than the scan. Each conversation is logged with consent, tagged with the products discussed and sent to the CRM the same day. The architecture behind it is in our post on lead capture on a stand, which explains how our interactive hologram at HEC Dhahran Expo logged 217 qualified leads.

Make the room worth the invitation

A workshop earns its invitation with something guests cannot get on the floor: a hands-on demo, a volumetric model of the product, a short film made for that room. Our media and content production team produces the content, and our myhome SuperApp launch shows what a focused story looks like on screen.

Mistakes we see

  • Inviting everyone. A workshop with the wrong forty people is worse than a stand with the right four.
  • Scanning badges and calling it a lead. Capture what was discussed, not just who walked in.
  • Following up a week later. The conversation is warmest on the same day.
  • A room with nothing to see. Give invited guests something the main floor does not have.

Where it fits

Questions clients ask

How do we stop uninvited guests walking in?

Invitation codes and a check-in at the door. Only confirmed guests get a badge for the room.

Where does the lead data go?

To your CRM or a spreadsheet, the same day, with consent captured on screen.

Can the workshop be recorded for people who could not attend?

Yes, with the presenters' and guests' agreement.
